Trystin Kier Francis is an award winning multi disciplined Architectural, Interior, and Production Designer, writer, show-runner, and film and television producer. This gifted artist founded the Kier Company, a design and lifestyle brand in 2006 as a vehicle for his design work. In addition, he owns and operates "INTRYSTING Art", a creative arts production company, and Lilian Sidney Venture an entertainment and planning firm . He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Communications from Benedict College, a diploma of Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute, and is a candidate for a Master of Architecture degree from the University of the District of Columbia.
He has worked on numerous independent films and television pilots and recently produced the romantic comedy "Love Dot Com" slated to release in 2018.Trystin has been featured and profiled in the local living section of the Washington Post, he recently designed the first floor of the Mayoral residence of D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, is a recipient of the 2013 Envest Foundation’s top “40 under 40 in philanthropy, the 2013 Washington City Paper’s Best of D.C. “Best Interior Designer” award recipient, and is the recipient of the 2016 DC Hall of Fame Society “Capital Probe” award. He was nominated in 2016 by BlackInteriordesigners.org as one of the top 20 African American Designers in the country.
Trystin is recognized among Washington, D.C.’s Black professional's in “Who’s Who in Black Washington”. He has made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) appearing opposite comedic actress Kym Whitley on “Raising Whitley” and was a co-host on the District of Columbia Cable Network series “the O”. His clients have included local and national politicians and some of the biggest names in entertainment. Trystin is one of America’s most sought after up and coming designers and show runners.
